So it's starting to feel a little more like Spring around these parts lately. Which means it's time to break out the florals and silver shoes( YEY! )

This outfit is actually my work uniform from Monsoon and is seriously one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever owned it reminds me of a Celia Birtwell print and I have to stop myself from wearing it during the week as it goes perfectly with my little silver brogues! (£10 house of Fraser, £10! madness.)

Hopefully in weeks to come the weather will be kind enough to allow for more floral dresses because really what else is there to life than florals and prints. x

Wow i'ts been so long since my last post, February sure has been a short but fast month. I'm so much looking forward to Spring and taking longs walks through the park more often or should I say cycling as recently I bought a little second hand bike in a vain attempt to get fit and to carry less stuff up the GIANT hill to Uni ( I may be slightly exaggerating).

Life has been quite hectic with Uni work this month and now it seems when I have spare time I'm at a loss with what to do. I want to spend my time being creative for myself and not necessarily a set project so I'm looking into making my own pattern, I adore prints and colour and want to maybe try silk screening a pattern onto a scarf. I work Saturday/Sunday at Monsoon/Accessorize and all the lovely Spring prints are filling me with lots of inspiration. Maybe soon I will post some sketches here.

Nevertheless the park has been filled with little signs of spring, green shoots and flowers being to blossom keep my mornings bright and cheery. I can't wait for the warmer weather.

 Carlisle Spring/Summer 2013

 Carlisle Spring/Summer 2013

Edinburgh Spring/Summer 2013

For the past few weeks now I have been set a photography project by my uni. Seen as I am studying graphic design I jumped at the chance to force myself to take more photographs and get creative with compositions and generally just learn a new skill. I really do enjoy capturing little moments on camera or setting up a scene to photograph.

My next big adventure (and by adventure I mean anything other than sitting in my bed watching the The Mindy project) is to go down the route of film photography. I have had this little Dianna camera for a few years now and really enjoy the sort of oddly blurry/unique shots that she creates. I really want to start getting into my film photography and not just the shooting but the actual development as well. So I put my pennies together with a few flatmates and thanks to ebay we now own a developing kit Hurrah! and now that The Mindy project is on a break maybe I will actually be motivated to take some shots, one can only hope.

February Brights

I'm not the sort of person to let a little bad weather ruin my week so i've been dressing even more brighter recently (if that's even possible) it's amazing what a little bit of colour can do for the soul.
